Continue to the community of Las Lajas, where you will visit a cocoa farm and a small coffee plantation. Learn how artisanal Dominican chocolate is produced, taste fresh cocoa and tropical fruits, and enjoy delicious locally made chocolate.
The journey continues to Saballo, a hardworking rural community where you will visit a factory that is more than 100 years old and discover the traditional process of making Dominican sugar cane molasses candies.
In La Piragua, visit the home of a local artisan and discover how traditional baskets, mats, and other handmade items are created using guano palm, banana leaves, and other natural materials.
